New product launches, progress on the MNT Reform Next as well as MNT Quasar, and a new mini campaign on Crowd Supply.
We have good news: The MNT Reform Next is finally production-ready!
We're in the process of ordering the last remaining parts for the first shipment of 90 units to Crowd Supply. Assembly will start in July 2026!
Lucie has made even more progress with the MNT Quasar processor module (with Qualcomm QCS6490): It's now running MNT's Debian System Image!
MNT Quasar is still in internal beta, but Lucie's been working on a final version that will come to our shop within the next few months.
As announced in our February News Update, the pre-launch page for our MNT Station mini campaign is online on Crowd Supply!
MNT Station is a quiet and space-saving, future-proof, universal open hardware computer for your desktop, homelab, or mounted on a wall as an edge device/router. You can also use its robust enclosure for your existing MNT Reform mainboard(s) and turn it into a standalone desktop PC, silent home NAS, or low-power entertainment center.
Find more details and technical specifications on the campaign site.

A new mainboard for MNT Pocket Reform has entered the scene:
Lucie has made lots of improvements to the previous version, including USB-C DisplayPort alt-mode and closed-case debugging via USB-C. More info on our Pocket Reform Mainboard 2.0 product page.
Note: All Pocket Reform orders that were placed after January 25th, 2026 will automatically include this new mainboard version.
Switches, or No Switches, That Is the Question:
The Pocket Reform Keyboard has finally made it to our shop—and not only that! We're giving you three order options:
But that's not all: This keyboard PCB is an improved, more reliable version (2.0) that can even save energy by gating the LED power completely when Pocket Reform is in standby mode or turned off.
A case design is in the works, so you'll be able to use the Pocket Reform keyboard as a portable standalone keyboard in the future.
Note: All Pocket Reform orders that were placed after April 28th, 2026 will automatically include this new keyboard version.
You've been wanting to use the MNT Pocket Reform Keyboard with your desktop computer? Say no more!
You can connect the MNT Pocket Reform Keyboard USB-C Adapter to any computer, embedded system, or installation with USB-C and hack away.
The adapter also lets you re-flash and/or recover your MNT Pocket Reform Keyboard from another computer in case it's bricked.
The adapter electronics were contributed by Thea.
We'll be present at the Open Hardware Summit 2026 which will take place on May 23rd and May 24th. Come by and try out our devices, chat with us, have a good time!
And that's a wrap. Thanks for reading our news updates and see you on here in one month or (nearly) daily on the Fediverse!
