minutejosch: when i built on 6.7.9 pocket i had no errors and i also didn't have to set those paths. maybe those 2 env variables i moved to the makefile don't work like that11:31
joschminute: but you heavily patched the original source because you ran into compilation errors, right? You said those changes were to make it compatible with more recent kernel versions.11:35
joschokay, let me try setting CONFIG_FORCE_MLO_SUPPORT=y and CONFIG_CLD_HL_SDIO_CORE=y as env vars next11:43
joschthough, this Android.mk also just adds them as make options and not as env vars11:44

joschaha, finally got a different error: CORE/HDD/src/wlan_hdd_hostapd.c:9014:24: error: ‘struct net_device’ has no member named ‘ieee80211_ptr’12:55
joschso i guess i'm still passing some options wrongly...12:56

joschthe Debian "cloud" kernel has lots of stuff disabled, so the dkms build just needs to have a condition added so that it doesn't get built there16:08
joschbut it *does* work on the other kernels16:09
joschminute: so problem solved \o/16:09
joschdidn't even take easter XD16:09
joschlets only allow this module if CONFIG_WIRELESS is also enabled (which is not the case for the cloud kernel)16:21

joschthe neat part that i discovered was, that Debian provides an automatically generated as-installed test for dkms modules which makes it super easy to find out whether the built dkms package successfully builds and installs a module without me having to install anything on my production system. This is also part of the Debian gitlab packaging pipeline which is now finally green: 21:05
