joschminute: turns out wdisplays works fine if one doesn't have libgl1-mesa-dri installed. I bisected Debian unstable and wdisplays was broken by the upload of libgtk-3-0 3.24.36-3 -- I'm in contact with its maintainer to figure out what went wrong.07:58
joschhttps://registry.khronos.org/OpenGL-Refpages/gl4/html/glFenceSync.xhtml "glFenceSync is only supported if the GL version is 3.2 or greater"09:19

joschminute: want me to revert https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/-/commit/9811485990b400cd60f7db2c5466c2e813099cfe in our builds of gtk3?09:25
minutejosch: bizarre that they would do this... i say yes, and thanks for reporting the issue there10:28
minutei've also sent it to a gnome graphics dev i know10:29
minutehmm hmm, i just checked on my reform and glxinfo includes GL_ARB_sync11:13
minutetalking to robert mader, the issue is that etnaviv has this extension only in GL contexts but not in GLES which apparently gtk3 uses 11:43

minutelayeronline with LS1028A!23:04
minutelayerSERDES works, so pcie wifi works and ethernet, too23:04
josch\o/23:04
minutelayerpretty cool23:05
joschminutelayer: try out if you can decode h264 1080p in software with vlc or mpv23:06
minutelayerjosch: i believe i did that already on the first test module23:06
minutelayerbut will test that ok23:06
joschoh okay -- did it work alright?23:06
minutelayeri think this video is 1080p but need to double check https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FL73PMuj6mo23:07
minutelayer(this is a video of the test)23:07
minutelayeryep it was 1080p23:08
joschyes, one can see the resolution in the mpv output :)23:08
joschamazing :)23:09
minutelayerexactly :323:09
joschi'm very much looking forward to receiving that module \o/23:09
joschwhere was that video linked from before? did i miss more?23:10
minutelayerhttps://mntre.com/media/reform_md/2022-07-25-ls1028a-status-update.html23:10
minutelayerthis was shortly before we were pre-selling the module i think23:10
joschoh, turns out that if you disable 3rd party content with an adblocker then there is no video -- smart! :D23:11
minutelayerthe rev00 modules had some small design issues and more importantly they were damaged in the soldering process @ rbz23:11
minutelayerjosch: ah lol23:11
minutelayernow i have some rev01 modules that we let pcbway assemble23:11
minutelayerrbz unfortunately again made a footprint errors on the level shifters for UART etc23:11
minutelayerso i had to remove these and add some bodges23:12
minutelayerbut otherwise the module is fine now, especially SERDES works, which was the big questionmark23:12
minutelayer(SERDES makes pcie/sata/ethernet work)23:12
minutelayerok, feierabend!23:12
