[15:42:22] <bkeys> Is there a board/adapter thing that you can hook up the screen and keyboard of the reform to, and hook it up via USB C?
[15:42:37] <bkeys> If you could mod it to make it a shell for the librem5 that would be awesome
[16:24:49] -!- bkeys1 [bkeys1!~Thunderbi@c-76-17-206-162.hsd1.mn.comcast.net] has joined #reform
[16:27:38] -!- bkeys has quit [Ping timeout: 268 seconds]
[16:27:38] bkeys1 is now known as bkeys
[17:09:45] <adjtm> bkeys, why not vnc over wifi or usb network?
[17:10:03] <bkeys> That's slow and ideally I'd like to do game development on it
[17:12:00] <adjtm> but what kind of adapter do you wan't? edp over usb-c?
[17:12:41] <bkeys> I'm not sure, just something to hook up the display and the keyboard/trackball
[17:14:20] <adjtm> I don't think that there is an easy and fast way of routing the edp display through usb, and it's usb2
[18:01:37] -!- anarsoul has quit [Read error: Connection reset by peer]
[18:02:16] <mntmn> bkeys the display is LVDS 12 bit
[18:02:29] <mntmn> sorry 18 bit
[18:03:42] <mntmn> probably better to use a eDP display then, maybe there is one that can be mounted in the same shell
[18:04:33] <mntmn> also when will the librem ship? ;)
[18:04:40] <bkeys> I think in April
[18:05:04] <bkeys> My only thing with the reform is if I could get a higher OpenGL version I'd be happy, that being said I'll probably get one regardless at this point
[18:07:24] <mntmn> ooc which GL features are missing that you need?
[18:08:37] <bkeys> I want to run https://godotengine.org
[18:08:46] <bkeys> I think they are working on a GLES2 renderer
[18:08:51] <bkeys> But right now I think it needs GLES3
[18:13:58] <mntmn> looks nice
[18:38:13] <bkeys> Yeah I like using it, beats the old Irrlicht
[18:38:28] <bkeys> It's one of the challenges I've had in going non-x86 is finding FOSS hardware acceleration that can drive Godot
[18:39:04] <bkeys> adjtm: Since with games I'd want no latency in my frames
