Esiso i don't really have much experience with debian or apt but I just got this while trying to apt upgrade on my pocket. What is the correct procedure in this situation? just wait and upgrade later? https://usercontent.irccloud-cdn.com/file/KRxMAndI/mynd.png13:17

kfxEsi: you decide if the bug affects you. if you don't mind that viking might hang, you can install the package.  if you're concerned, you can avoid installing it for now.14:48
kfxthe number is so you can look it up in the debian bug tracker: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=114847214:48
+ paperManu (~paperManu@modemcable141.205-200-24.mc.videotron.ca)14:49
kfxif, for instance, you don't use viking, it's safe to answer Y14:50
Esiah thank you! no idea what viking is, and I think I don't even have that installed so looks like I am fine.14:51
EsiI am guessing this is because mnt pocket is using debian unstable? So this kind of warnings are maybe a bit more common? Never experienced bug warnings like that in the past. i was on Ubuntu LTS back in the days and have been using Fedora and then Fedora Silverblue for the last 7 years or so, so I am just sort of still getting hang of the debian "vibe" if that makes sense.14:53
- simba (QUIT: Ping timeout: 241 seconds) (~simba@62.174.148.129.static.user.ono.com)15:05
kfxyeah this is basically an early warning system to let users know if something ugly shows up, and where to find out more15:07

amatechaah interesting, thanks Zaba & minute, yeah guess I'll just see how it goes, not much I can do in advance.  I've ordered electronics components from mouser and digikey before and never had to pay import taxes but then again the total value has never been like 1500€ lol16:05
