Esiminute: pocket reform was on overnight. Although it is a bit hard to see the vignette during day because of glare but I do think that it has disappeared. It did take some hours though but it was still visible in the late evening11:24
+ pasta161 (~pasta161@user/xha)11:26
Esiturned it off and on again. i don't see any vignette :)11:29
Esipocket reform plus chromaleon gnome extension and the right desktop wallpaper is a pretty sweet combination https://usercontent.irccloud-cdn.com/file/kooJLlOF/1000065699.jpg11:36

joschminute: i flashed latest u-boot to my rk3588 pocket reform and am successfully booting with u-boot again. I'll let you know if in that scenario i encounter this sort of screen corruption again.16:09
joschIt's hard to verify because it happens only sporadically.16:09
minutejosch: cool, thanks! and firmware 20260819?16:09
joschyes, latest sysctl firmware16:09
minuteok, so far i didn't get confirmation from anyone that 20260819 is actually available on fwupd16:10
joschminute: speaking of rk3588 u-boot, thank you for merging the mnt station MR yesterday. Could you tag a commit?16:10
joschhuh?16:10
joschwait, let me double check16:10
joschi flashed a new firmware this morning16:10
minutejosch: that's why i'm asking specifically for this version16:10
joschchecking...16:10
minutejosch: tag pushed!16:11
joschminute: yes, i flashed 20260819 with fwupd16:12
minutejosch: great, thanks. then display lock/unlock in gnome works with backlight turning off and on?16:12
joschminute: thank you!16:12
joschi wouldn't count on me with gnome test results because this is not firmware/kernel but userspace and my userspace is oooooold, but let me try loading gnome just for fun...16:13
joschwhich hotkey is that?16:13
joschi think i can press the lock icon for this, right?16:14
joschokay, when i press the lock icon in the upper-rigt menu, display turns off16:14
joschwhen i move the trackball, it turns on again16:14
joschbut it would probably be more valuable if i checked this with a MNT Debian unstable system image16:15

Esiminute: vignette is back :(22:56
minuteEsi: oof, any idea where it came from?23:00
minuteEsi: did you lock the screen for a while or so?23:00
Esinah never lock it. always just turn the pocket fully off23:00
minutehmm mysterious, so it was just there after a new cold start?23:01
Esiturned it on maybe 15 minutes ago and noticed the vignette back just now. dont know if it was there right after a cold start as i wasnt looking actively for it. and it is not easily visible in some situations23:04
Esipocket has been off for circa 9 hours23:04
Esii can try to test things over the next few days and get more data and how to reproduce it23:08
minuteEsi: ok thank you! in worst case we can swap out your panel23:21
Esiuh oh... just turned it back on now. the half screen thing is back O_o23:29

minuteEsi: waat :023:34
minuteEsi: firmware is 20260819?23:34
minuteEsi: do you still use barebox or uboot?23:36
Esigetting my daughter to bed so can't really do much right now but I will send you photos and more information later this evening. but I am on 20260808 (hadn't updated the firmware today yet)23:37
Esii keep mixing up uboot and barebox. I am on the one that has rainbow logo and has boot menu23:38
Esiwould you want me to update the firmware and such to check if that fixes things?23:40
