minutenow it seems to work quite well (dispv1+imx8mp), at least with gnome, both blanking and manual enable/disable of the display. on sway, dpms on needs to be followed by an enable / explicit mode, otherwise nothing happens at all, i mean that's probably not a driver problem, because no functions of the driver are being called00:40

joschminute: pipeline i running for your recent commit for rk3588-pocket-dp-altmode-and-sc -- anything you'd like me to try out given my hardware?18:15
josch*pipeline is running18:15
minuteyeah but i should probably try it myself first :D also needs another update of sysctl fw which i pushed18:16

minutejosch: it works on my rk3588 pocket reform in combination with the latest sysctl fw, _but_ there is one last issue which is, the display backlight goes off by default after updating the fw, and i know why that happens but i'll need to think of a solution. it's fixable in the sysctl fw alone i think18:57
joschso close! :D19:04
minuteah damn, there's still a bug with unlocking the dispv2 backlight... for some reason happened on dispv1 now, which it shouldn't lol19:15
minuteah, extremely silly mistake lol19:16

minutedamn, got the stripeys on a311d21:19
minutehmm, gone after a reboot and also on another reboot (both warm), iirc it wasn't able to recover from that before without power cycling21:25
minuteah, same on rk3588 after like the 5th blank/unblank. so need to tweak some timings, either around the reset or delay after init21:27
minutebut not platform specific at least21:27
