chminute: interesting, would be good to capture them probably10:19
chminute: (reading further) nice10:19
chi think my DP message branch is either not pushed or not MRed, but it was untested mess anyway10:20
[tj]minute: are rk3588 modules going out? My order is now 6 months old10:26
minute[tj]: yes but we ran dry recently, i'm waiting for one component to arrive at jlc to trigger the next bigger batch (was ETAd today actually...)11:14
[tj]ah okay, I think I misunderstood before11:14
[tj]it has proven impossible to get tiling done in our bathroom and the alternative option has a "long lead" time which makes electronics look easy11:15
[tj]but electronics also looks really difficult11:15
minute[tj]: i would need to ask to get exact details about your order, but it's easter holiday now11:35
[tj]thanks for the update, I am only vaguely aware of Easter11:53

reform21388Hi, I have run apt full-upgrade and it is asking if I should replace /etc/adduser.conf with the updated version. I have looked through my command history and I do not believe I have manually touched this file or any of the commands I have used (e.g. usermod) touch this file either. Is this a file that has been modified by an MNT-specific script?15:09
reform21388and if so, do I want to update the file or not? I can pastebin the full message and diff between the config files if that would help15:10
chthe diff would be good15:10
reform21388https://pastebin.com/rQR7tUwd15:12
reform21388looks like it just comments some stuff out. Think I'll just leave it as is15:15
chhttps://source.mnt.re/reform/reform-system-image/-/blob/main/mkimage.sh#L70915:17
chso these things are done by the image builder to adduser.conf15:17
chi guess if you dont intend to make new full users on your system, you can just accept the new file15:18
reform21388yeah, I won't be making any new users15:19
reform21388okay, thanks for confirming15:19
chjosch: ^ seems like this might want to move into the setup wizard?15:19

Svphuh. thats interesting. on a v2 keyboard u-boot accepts keyboard input...15:38
Svpfor what its worth it uses 20210927 so i suppose theres been a regression somewhere15:41

joschch: yes, i agree that reform-setup-wizard should add the relevant groups to the new user and mkimage.sh should not touch /etc/adduser.conf https://source.mnt.re/reform/mnt-reform-setup-wizard/-/merge_requests/1919:16
Svpnevermind, updated to 20250701 and still works, im out of ideas lol19:16
minuteSvp: that's probably because v2 keyboard uses atmega + lufa stack which implements boot protocol19:45
minutejosch: stray space? > cdrom,floppy,sudo,audio,dip video,plugdev,users,netdev19:57
minuteBTW i hacked a bit more on displayport altmode stuff for rk3588/pocket2, but couldn' get link training to work with 3 screens that i tried. i think the main issue is that there's no way to limit/configure the eDP lanes with the current rk3588/dw-dp/analogix drivers. so i'm gonna implement some dts stuff for that after the easter break20:15
joschminute: thank you, fixed21:28
