MartiniMoeHas anyone here, by chance, tried to run tic-80 on the rk3588? I can't get it to display the UI, even with the MESA env vars from the manual. Is there anything else I could try? :/08:52
[tj]has anyone gotten vcvrack to build?08:59

MartiniMoe[tj]: I can successfuly build it from the nix package manager, but can't launch it. It errors with "Could not open GLFW window. Does your graphics card support OpenGL 2.0 or greater? If so, make sure you have the latest graphics drivers installed."09:55
[tj]vcvrack fails for me in make dep, I'm not sure how much energy I want to put into fixing hte build of something that won't take patches09:55
[tj]MartiniMoe: I think a gl error like that is gonna depend on the sco09:57

jfredwoooo just got the shipping notice for my Pocket Reform parts order! :D18:26
siviqjfred nice :) CPU upgrade maybe?18:34
jfredindirectly yes, I ordered the newer version of the RCORE carrier board so I could have all of: wifi, nvme, wwan in an RK3588 pocket reform18:36
jfredbut I already have the RK3588 in my big reform, planning on doing a switcheroo18:36
jfred...we'll see how long it takes for me to actually get to that since both are my two primary non-work devices though, haha18:37
siviqOh, that's good. It will be like Christmas :) I'm also hoping to get shipping notice soon for Classic Reform with RK3588 CPU.18:39
lidstahooooowww "Your order has been shipped " \o/18:49
lidstahjfred: just got a mail here too :D18:51
jfred\o/18:51
lidstahsiviq: indeed, it'll be like christmas but in march :)18:52
siviqI'm happy for you :)19:03
lidstahtime to prep a trixie sd card, and an openbsd one too (goal: getting wscons display something, by disabling rkdrm)19:04

lidstahsiviq: when did you ordered? here it was middle of october19:07
siviqlidstah it was mid December. However, might come in same batch as it has been some delay due to component fittings. I'm actually glad I got plenty of time to prepare. Switched to Trixie on my main laptop and never looked back to MS Windows. It's been ages since I used Linux, need to re-learn so much more now.19:13
lidstahsiviq: indeed it's probably in the same batch :) - and trixie is great, too ;)19:14

kop316minutei saw the recent mastodon post. One thought for you: I'd be willing to pay the price differential for a 2 TB drive vs a 1 TB drive. Maybe explain the situation and offer folks that option?23:49
minutekop316: that's unfortunately not possible because CS system is not that flexible. but because there are now 2 SSD slots you can put an extra TB in yourself, for example23:56
minute(or more)23:56
kop316minute: fair enough. sorry tochear you're going through all of this....23:58
minutekop316: thanks! it's painful to break a promise23:58
