stephanojosch: do we know that u-boot created with gxlimg (not amlogic-boot-fip) has been tested on emmc and sd card for the A311D?17:04
stephanoWhen I try to boot after pulling in a system-image created with this commit I get stuck in a reset loop. https://source.mnt.re/reform/reform-a311d-uboot/-/commit/11a2a193c6c764184a0f1303569345f7f954c4e617:05

joschstephano: yes, I tested the resulting binaries before and after merging it. I'm running 2026-01-28 right now on my a311d.20:05
joschand yes, it has been tested on both sd-card and emmc20:06
stephanoAgreed, that's not the issue I'm seeing. I did some A/B testing and the gxlimg thing was a red herring. I'm working on adding u-boot to the arch sd card. 20:08
stephanoIn doing so, I tested the latest image for a311d (pocket) and it wouldn't boot. I tried image - 2026-01-16 - Job #17878, still no dice. Then I tried 2025-11-05 - Job #15265 and that works. In both failures, the log shows the broken image gets through DDR init and SD FIP loading, then resets at or immediately after BL33 handoff/check20:09
joschminute: no, no but i can make a release any time if you need one to happen. I saw you closed this related MR? https://source.mnt.re/reform/reform-tools/-/merge_requests/16420:13
