illohello there, please pardon the eventual triviality of my question that has probably been answered someplace else. I recently resumed a long-forgotten MNT Reform laptop and wanted to update the firmware of its LPC, but I'm not sure whether it's worth it and/or needed: the motherboard version is "MREFRMOB20R02" which I desume is version 2.0R2, and the OLED gives out "MREF2LPC R3 20210925"; the18:32
illofirmware tools (`build.sh` `download-fw.sh`) report that the only supported boards are 2.0R3, 2.5R2, 3.0R1. I guess the define tagged "stock R2" in `src/boards/reform2/board_reform2.c` (`REFORM_MBREV_R2`) is the one for me, so I'm wondering (and asking somebody): has the fact that the shell scripts (e.g. `build.sh`) don't support stock R2 any significance whatsoever, like that I shouldn't go18:32
illoabout building an LPC fw bin for this motherboard?18:32
joschillo: MREFPMOB20R02 is effectively R3 because R3 is the same as R02 with a resistor bodge which was done by MNT before shipping. So you need to generate firmware-20_R3.bin for that board.18:39
illook thank you for your answer!18:51
