joschboth work again so maybe it was just badly seated00:00
joschbut these kind of situations seriously freak me out XD00:00
joschi didn't get my intel ax210 wifi card to work with the new wifi/bt board for the pocket, nothing shows up in dmesg about the card00:00
joschit might be that the card is borked so i'll have to find another card to test where the problem is00:01
- pomel0 (QUIT: Ping timeout: 240 seconds) (~pomel0@user/pomel0)00:03
joschalso, the wifi/bt board in the classic reform might not be a good idea -- the flat cable gets squeezed really hard between the rcore board and the jst connector next to it. The cable might've been damaged a bit in the process of making it fit.00:04

minutejosch: not sure what kind of swappings you did exactly ^^00:37
joschminute: i started with trying out whether the headphone board v2 for the pocket aka the wifi/bt board would fit in the classic reform by installing the rcore r4 into it00:38
minuteah00:39
joschafter installing everything the screen remained black and i got no output via serial00:39
joschso i took everything out again and installed it into the pocket and again no output on serial00:39
joschso i swapped rk3588 to see what had broken00:39
joschand that worked00:39
minutemaybe the cable or sth became unseated, or something was shorted?00:40
joschsince nearly everything (minus my wifi card) works it seems nothing broke00:40
joschyes, i must've made a mistake in connecting everything but i'm happy that at least the expensive bits are fine :)00:40
joschright now, the headphone board v2 is installed in the pocket as intended00:41
joschi'm still thinking about how to have wifi+bt+wwan in the classic with rcore and motherboard 3.0. I think my next plan is to have wifi card in mini-pci-e slot and use the usb signal from the rcore r01 which is exposed at the wifi/bt connector to connect that to a hub and from that hub i go to a wwan dongle as well as to a bluetooth dongle00:42
joschthen i don't even need to upgrade the rcore adapter to r4 because the only thing missing is usb, not pci00:43

joschhehe i found a 10pin fpc cable for the pocket wifi/bt module to test whether the cable is the problem or the ax210 is the problem09:20
joschthe edp cable from ls1028a turns out to be exactly the needed size XD09:20
joschminute: part re-use ^09:20
joschunfortunately, wifi is still doing nothing so the card is probably dead (also gets very warm without doing anything -- that is not normal i guess?)09:21
