joguDoes anyone know why the standalone keyboard doesn't come with the riser/stand anymore? Tried looking in the repos for any files but couldn't find anything for it 16:55
mhoyeAre the updated mnt motherboards available through Mouser? Or, where?17:27
kop316So I updated my keyboard firmware on my pocket reform, and i am still noticing that the batteries only charge if completely depleted, and the shutdown process doesn't seem to completely turn off the pocket reform, i have to manually turn off the keyboard17:36
kop316anythoughts on this?17:36

bremnerkop316: not in front of my pocket at the moment, but what is still on after shutdown, the jeyboard backlight?18:14
kop316bremner: yes the backlight18:25
kop316it appears to be off otherwise18:26
bremnerkop316: and this is rk3588 module?18:26
kop316yes18:26
kop316bremner: yes18:26
bremnerfwiw, I can check in a couple hours if I can replicate it.18:26
kop316ok, thanks! please let me know if you have the battery issue too18:27
bremnerwill do.18:27
+ AnimaInvicta (~AnimaInvi@88-120-179-216.subs.proxad.net)18:35
grimmwarekop316: The shutdown was fixed by a recent package upgrade (either kernel or reform-tools for the lpc kernel module iirc)18:46

kop316grimmware: you are correct, thanks!18:59
kop316however, the battery issue remains, and when i unplug the pocket reform at 23%, the device just restarts19:00
wickedshellkop316: do the batteries show they are balanced on the OLED when it says it's not charging?19:38
irimi1ch: took me a bit, but i got around to reseating the USB cable for the keyboard. it seemed to help somewhat, in the way that it's not unresponsive permanently but is reset frequently (mostly between 5-15 seconds: https://paste.systemli.org/?8a66f9dc166ab8ab#42BcdEDVyPGorwMVCrcKWsRzYbAb4bcQr2HShYzbLjUm )19:38
irimi1ch: does that mean i shoudl maybe replace the USB cable altogether? 19:39
irimi1(the dmesg just got a little more interesting: https://paste.systemli.org/?a5630df8e9883fe7#3aEM11vCJ6wxwzAQmwgxrpJ29qUHu3G5zMhKLhDbhKt7 )19:40
irimi1ah, now it seems to be permanently unresponsive19:44
irimi1yep, i'm back to where i was before20:02
irimi1:(20:07
irimi1i would try flashing the keyboard firmware using the script if the resets wouldn't be so frequent20:30
irimi1oh, now the OLED just shows a 'T' on it. that's new20:56
+ murphnj (~murph@user/murphnj)21:04
kop316wickedshell: both show 3.6V now. sometimes I see the bottom battery spike to 4.2V when pluged in21:09
+ chomwitt (~chomwitt@2a02:85f:9ad9:f200:1ac0:4dff:fedb:a3f1)21:22
sigridminute: reform's motherboard schematics suggest that pins 36+38 (usb d-/d+) on mpcie aren't wired, do you think if I shove an usb hub inside and wire those I'd get things working?21:27
sigrida lot of intel wifi adapters have their bluetooth counterpart sitting on those usb pins21:27

bremnerkop316: poweroff thing seems fixed, as discussed? For charging it seems to be related to power supply or cable here. I thought I had duplicated your symptoms then I plugged in a different power supply and cable and it is charging.22:04
bremner(from 77%)22:05
bremnerkop316: in my case there is the very real possibility of plugging into the wrong usb c slot. Now back on the original supply and charging at 80%22:07
minutesigrid: yes, that should work23:06
minutejosch: btw, i'm running reform-flash-rescue on mnt reform next and notice that it writes uboot before it writes the image... i think that's self-defeating on rk3588, no? (because that uboot will be overwritten by the image?)23:07
* mjw -> Guest427623:11
* wielaard -> mjw23:11
joschminute: it is useless, yes because the rk3588 image does contain u-boot23:18
- AnimaInvicta (PART: !!unknown attribute: msg!!) (~AnimaInvi@88-120-179-216.subs.proxad.net)23:18
joschminute: the script could check the variable DEV_MMC_BOOT0 which, if false, means that u-boot is not stored /dev/mmcblk1boot0 but directly on the partition23:19
joschbut at least it's just a useless write and should not cause any problems, right?23:19
sigridminute: thanks. I will do the attempt then23:24
