grimmware | Uuuugh. | 21:08 |
grimmware | minute: I’ve just discovered that TH2 on my charger board has been ripped up from the ground plane. I kinda just brushed it with my finger because it looked like there was a fleck of copper on it and it’s come up. Can you advise on a) will the pocket still safely function without it (i.e. can I power it on still provided I keep it cool) and b) what I can do to repair it? | 21:11 |

grimmware | I’m wondering if I can just scratch off some of the solder mask adjacent and then solder it down to the ground plane but I’d like some advice from someone who actually knows what they’re talking about first | 21:16 |
grimmware | Oof, it’s still *technically* connected on both ends… might just squash it back down and put a dab of glue on it to keep it in place | 21:23 |
- Ar|stote|is (QUIT: Quit: https://quassel-irc.org - Chat comfortably. Anywhere.) (~linx@149.210.16.51) | 21:26 | |
grimmware | Okay actually the sensor has come off, the non-ground end wasn’t soldered on properly so the trace is safe (phew) and it’s just the ground plane that’s lifted but it’s still firmly attached under the T, so I’m thinking some solder paste and hot plate to reattach the sensor and then some superglue afterwards to lock the whole thing in place so it doesn’t happen again. Let me know what you think minute | 21:31 |
