ch> The Launcher is undergoing restructuring, so packaging the Launcher for 3rd-party distribution might not be practial at the moment. Waiting until the situation stabilizes is recommended!11:24
chhm oh well11:24
joschthat comment is already 3 years old though... ;)11:27
hramrachpermanent restructuring11:33

minuteok, back at work12:12
joschminute: nothing happened while you were away so it seems your computers are happily computing away :D12:15
minutevery nicew12:15
joschoh one interesting thing did come up. User with imx8mq in the forum is unable to use HDMI: https://community.mnt.re/t/hdmi-output-on-debian-stable/256912:29
minutesounds like an EDID issue maybe12:36
- mjw (QUIT: Ping timeout: 246 seconds) (~mjw@gnu.wildebeest.org)13:01
hramrachThe question is what would cause it to not get the correct EDID. Also seems screen-dependent from the description.13:06

mhoyehmmm. Is it expected that hdmi should work (or not) in console mode?14:24
mhoyeACTION discovers the thread on the topic in community, hmmmmmm14:31
joschmhoye: what's your platform?14:32
mhoyeimx814:34
mhoyeDebian via the reform installer, up to date afaik14:35
mhoyeNothing in dmesg indicating a change when the cable is plugged in.14:35
joschmhoye: oh you might be the only user who installed their imx8mq that way :D14:42
joschoh wait, i remember14:43
joschyou have this awesome keyboard mod14:43

paperManuhi there! I have a quick question: I do some computer graphics development, and I wanted to confirm that the RK3588 does _not_ support geometry shaders? Is that right? Is it a limitation of the Panfrost driver?15:11
erlepaperManu for panfrost driver stuff, i suggest to (also?) ask at #panfrost on OFTC15:20
paperManuah, this is indeed not specific to the Reform, sorry. I'll try to come back with an answer to that ;)15:27
+ paperManu_ (~paperManu@198.16.145.233)16:05
paperManuso the answer is that the hardware does not support geometry shaders16:14
paperManuso I have another question: I saw that there is a fork of Blender in the MNT repositories. Does that mean that the current releases of Blender do not run on the Reform ?16:22

minutepaperManu: ok so yes, geometry shaders would need to be emulated. my hope is that the vulkan driver (panvk) could run blender on the vulkan backend some day18:03
minutepaperManu: blender doesn't work on reform since 2.9 yep18:04
paperManuright, thanks. I'm trying to figure out what I would be able to do with a Reform Pocket, as I'm really tempted ;)18:15

^alexprobably the ^20:58
^alexmakes us sort funny20:58
NanoCodeBugyipee, its merged! I have been running it for a while on my pocket without issue - but it certainly can be improved upon, its not relying on the interrupt features at all. I think it can also be improved to enable usb mode for charging docks, which requires some extra negotiation flags. 21:08
^alexyeah we had plans to interruptify it a bit21:09
