minutei restored the Rack Reform prototype for 37c3 and am happy to say the nvidia gpu works14:42
minutenow i wonder if reform-migrate works with /dev/sda114:42
- bkeys (QUIT: Ping timeout: 250 seconds) (~bkeys@216.152.105.25)14:50
joschminute: it does since commit ddbfe80e0612809461c8ffd5bfccbd975d0c9aa315:00

joschsknebel: thank you for testing that MR! :)15:05
AbortRetryFailTwodisbetter: i'm not entirely sure why, but box64 seems to not load the solibs unless you start the game from inside the ~/.vendetta folder. I haven't tried to troubleshoot why since I just launch everything from a terminal always.15:14
TwodisbetterAbortRetryFail: yeah no biggy. I was able to get it working with the Path deceleration in the desktop file. It now loads just like it does if I launched it from the terminal. 15:22
TwodisbetterI just flew out of the training zone. 15:22
AbortRetryFail:)15:23
sknebelinstalled the imx8mq image from https://mnt.re/system-image - it still prompts to run "reform-config" after login but that command does not seem to exist15:51

joschsknebel: /usr/sbin/reform-config is shipped by reform-tools16:21
joschmaybe you tried to run it without sudo?16:21
joschmaybe (similar to how it's done for "apt update" in /etc/reform-help) the reform-config command should be prefixed by sudo to reduce confusion?16:22
minutejosch: it worked perfectly @ ls1028a migration16:49
minutehmm looks like we'll have an early reform next prototype @ 37c3 16:50
AbortRetryFailNew motherboard design?16:52
minuteeverything but the motherboard lol16:52
minuteit will be powered by an rk3588 development kit sitting outside the case with wires going in16:53
joschuh how is rk3588 development going?17:00
minutewell, software wise it's already quite usable17:00
minutei have a midstream linux + the normal reform system on it17:00
joschuff i'd love to drop by but berlin is so far away XD17:13
minuteyou mean hamburg? :D17:13
joschit's in hamburg!17:16
joschwell, it's also far away :D17:16
jni propose to rename the city to humbug :P17:16
minutejosch: yes :317:19
joschseems the last time i attended a ccc was 27c317:20
joschhas been a while :D17:20
minutewow17:31
joschit was a bunch easier to go there back when i was still a student without partner, without child and without work XD17:38
sknebeljosch: ah right, that was it then 17:43
sknebelNot sure why I didn't try that 😅17:46
joschsknebel: thank you! Fixed here: https://source.mnt.re/reform/reform-tools/-/merge_requests/59/diffs?commit_id=2f4cdc30ab35357eccc52f5fce1957c1a21da21817:46

Twodisbetterif anyone is interested, Project Zombiod is another game that in theory should work with the Reform. Not sure it will be all that playable, especial with a lot of zombies on the screen, but might be cool nonetheless. 23:42
joschminute: seems that linux 6.6 has problems with hantro: https://paste.debian.net/1302241/23:44
joschon the userspace side i get this:23:48
joschDRM_IOCTL_MODE_CREATE_DUMB failed: Cannot allocate memory23:48

Twodisbetterminute: that looks super tasty. I just love sqaurish thinkpad like lines. The Reform is unique because of it, and the design is just top notch. 23:51
joschit's thin!23:51
TwodisbetterAside from being slimmer, there aren't any technical improvements really right? This is more of an aesthetic and weight thing? 23:51
