minutemilk-v cm4 bringup by gerlingguy https://github.com/geerlingguy/sbc-reviews/issues/2200:03
abortretryfailBoostisbetter: hyper+pgup/pgdn for me00:15
abortretryfailI have kbd v2 though00:16
abortretryfailat first i thought i would hate the space bars but i really don't after using it.00:16
+ jacobk (~quassel@utdpat241106.utdallas.edu)00:21
joschi'm actually a bit sad that there are only three space keys with kbd v3 :D00:26
minuteaw00:29
minutei am obviously biased but i have to say that kbd v3 with homing keys and brown switches is very very comfy00:30
joschit bugs me a tiny bit that the arrow-right key has a different size compared to the others but it would've bugged me more if the up and own keys would not be exactly on top of each other00:31
joschand with that there is just no space for two keys between the outer spacebar keys anymore00:32
f_put 5 space keys on kbd v400:33
joschf_: i found out that i always hit the spacebar with my right thumb, so i repurposed the left thumb spacebar for "enter" as that is a key that i press so often that i don't want to use my right pinky for it00:35

joschand the midd00:38
joschand the keys in the middle are alt and backspace00:38
joschso i currently have ctrl, alt, enter, backspace and space on my thumbs00:38
joschinstead of just ctrl, alt and space with normal keyboards00:39
f_sounds comfy isn't it?00:44

theesmminute: the switches on the pocket reform keyboard aren't hot-swappable, are they? having gateron brown low profiles or kailhs choc browns would be kinda cool (i mean soldering is always an option though)10:27

Boostisbetterdoes the imx8 soc have hardware video decoding, and is it availabel system wide, or only in some browsers? 16:42
joschBoostisbetter: it does have hardware decoding and theoretically browsers could use it16:49

joschBoostisbetter: yes. If it's being used, you get smooth 1080p@60 video.17:38
joschIt is not, so you don't. :)17:38

Boostisbetterso I have seen on the community forum that dpms causes a crash after an hour or so, BUT what I have seen is that having the display off actually conserves about 50 mah at 26V. Not too bad at all. 22:18
BoostisbetterI guess if you can keep your screen off time to under an hour it is what I would totally recommend. 22:19
