For one thing the NVME make it so much more snappy, and since the RAM is a limiting factor having a snappy storage solution for a competent swap only helps it where the L5 falls down some. I think as a result of the NVME and the robust nature of the storage it provides these leads to increased system stability. On the L5 things randomly just crash and close.
