joschBooster[m]: it's youtube-dl for gstreamer14:39
joschBooster[m]: you might like https://piped.kavin.rocks/ and the software behind it14:39
joschvkoskiv: no need to remove it -- these are normal debian packages so you can just upgrade14:39

vkoskivjosch: It's working with normal youtube links now! I assume there is some flag to try and get 1080p with clapper17:43
joschvkoskiv: you should get 1080p by default18:50
vkoskivjosch: mine defaults to 480p18:52
vkoskivOh, it just bumped up to what looks like 1080p18:52
vkoskivStill says 480p though18:52
vkoskivSo it adjusts dynamically, like on youtube18:52
joschvkoskiv: yes, but it should start on 1080p. That it currently does not is a bug in gstreamer and not in gtuber: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gstreamer/-/merge_requests/341919:04
jfredminute: Alright, so I did measure 178 ohms across C37, which was the only odd one. That's not exactly a short but isn't open like I'd expect a capacitor to be at DC. (I didn't disconnect the display cable though as I'm always worried about damaging that connector, and realized after the fact that I'd forgotten to disconnect the speakers and sysctl cables; unsure if either of those matter)19:04
joschvkoskiv: for more details, rafostar[m] is actually in this channel as well :)19:05
jfredbut if that seems okay, I can go and replace the fuse - just got the replacement in the mail19:06
rafostar[m]<josch> "vkoskiv: yes, but it should..." <- Wrong MR. This one is for new dashdemux2 used within playbin3 (what you guys use on Reform via env): https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gstreamer/-/merge_requests/389419:10
joschrafostar[m]: ah thanks! i missed that in https://github.com/Rafostar/gtuber/issues/36 because it's already crossed out :)19:12
rafostar[m]Also, no it should not start at 1080p. The bug was to not start from worst quality, but listen to what user configured. There is some middle quality default set within gtuber, Clapper does not have this configurable YET.19:13
rafostar[m]<vkoskiv> "Oh, it just bumped up to what..." <- It uses adaptive streaming.19:14
rafostar[m]<vkoskiv> "Still says 480p though" <- Its current bug within Clapper. When used with experimental playbin3, it might incorrectly reflect changes in quality. To be fixed when I finish new Clapper API.19:15
+ mark_ (~mjw@gnu.wildebeest.org)19:25
joschrafostar[m]: does this mean that if i use gtuber-dl (so without clapper) it will already default to that middle quality default with --non-interactive?19:31
rafostar[m]josch: No, its a startup (initial) quality for adaptive streaming, while `gtuber-dl` selects formats from adaptive streaming list to "stream" them into output file.19:35
rafostar[m]We cannot have adaptive streaming into a file. It just does not make sense.19:36
joschrafostar[m]: sure, my question was whether the "middle quality default" you talked above for adaptive streaming is the same as the one that gtuber-dl chooses by default?19:38
rafostar[m]And I answered with a "No" above 😄19:40
joschrafostar[m]: ah sorry then i misunderstood19:41
vkoskivrafostar[m]: Hey! Really cool project!19:41
rafostar[m]josch: Well, I did a little more of a explaining then I should for a simple question. Sorry for confusion.19:42
