minute`7z b` reveals that the imx8mplus is around 20% faster16:45
Boostisbetterminute, just got the new battery boards. swapping them in was cake. I noticed that the new boards don't have kapton tap on the bottom, but forgot to look if there are metal traces on the bottom of the board. If you removed them in this board design that is classy to the max. Anyway thanks again! 17:54
minuteBoostisbetter: sooo, i would recommend to put some tape (kaptop or other isolation) on the side that points to the keyboard17:56
minuteBoostisbetter: this is to protect from potential shorts if you unscrew the keyboard bezel and pull it out17:56
minute(or put it back in)17:56
minuteBoostisbetter: i.e. the pins of the battery board on the keyboard side could be touched by the "prongs" of the keyboard bezel17:57
Boostisbetterminute, ah ok, yeah I already installed them, and didn't notice the capton tape until AFTER I installed them. But I will get in there and install the tape. 17:57
minutecool! 17:58
BoostisbetterI will try to not push very hard on the keyboard until doing so17:58
BoostisbetterForutnately I have some kaptop laying around from the ongoing Penkesu project. 17:58
sigridomg the new trackball's buttons are so clicky-clucky :D17:58
minutesigrid: haha yeah17:59
Boostisbetterminute, so looking at my Reform, I'm seriously wonder how on earth the battery board bottoms could come in contact with the mainboard? 18:03
BoostisbetterDo you mean if you are removing things, etc? 18:03
BoostisbetterUnder normal circumstance it is impossible for the boards to ever touch18:03
minutenot with the mainboard. with the prongs of the keyboard bezel.18:03
minuteif you unscrew that and rotate it out18:03
Boostisbetterahh ok. I've shut it down again, and will be taking the boards out. 18:04
sigridinstalled trackball + new battery packs, reused the same tape off the old ones. works as intended18:48
sigridsensitivity on the new trackball is lower than the old one for sure18:48
Boostisbetterminute, got it all put back together again. I would maybe suggest mentioning the need to apply kaptone tape to the underside of the battery boards in the little instruction pamplet that shipped with them. 18:48
sigridmaybe it's acceleration that is different18:49
Boostisbetterminute, human nature shows that no matter how likely something can happen that it will happen, and so this just gives you a little extra, I, the customer, screwed up, but its your problem scenarios. 18:49
minutesigrid: it's probably the new firmware that doesn't square the x/y deltas18:49
minuteBoostisbetter: you're right, it's an oversight on our side18:50
Boostisbetterin other news, my speakers are only playing out of the right side again. I think software keeps messing that up. I live on the edge and keep full-update 18:50
Boostisbetter'ing18:50
Boostisbetterhopefully a future one will restore the sound to both channels again. 18:50
Boostisbetterhahahaha18:50

Boostisbetternope. I mean it is not the end of the world. I wonder if the sound works right through headphones. I need to check that. 19:59
BoostisbetterIN other news I hope my prattling here doesn't slow down any Pocket development. Hahahaha19:59
vagrantcthere will need to be some robust pocket development in order to be able to hold the pocketreform20:02

Boostisbetterpssh, I have a bag with a pocket that will hold it just fine. I have several commuting cycling clothes that will as well. 22:32
Boostisbetterand honestly the beefier and more robust the Pocket the better. 22:33
Boostisbetteralso it would be awesome if OnlyOffice had an arm build as well. 22:45
Boostisbettertheir document reader is super polished and offers 100% compatibility with MS Office. This is very useful. 22:45
