violetwill there be any Pocket Reform prototype-ish stuff at the seattle meet? 18:52
svpsince i somewhat recently found out about battery status reporting working, i decided to update the LPC firmware earlier today. i pulled changes from the main repo, built, No response from LPC. worrying that maybe my build somehow broke in transit i had a friend also build a copy of the firmware but to no avail. have any changes occurred or is something afoot in the repo? i also tried updating the keyboard fw as well.19:03
vkoskivDid you build lpcrc? I vaguely remember that having something to do with it19:04
svpyeah, we both did19:04
minutevkoskiv: do you have perhaps time to double check if the current fw with all the merges works as expected?19:23
vkoskivYeah I can do some testing tonight19:24

joschvkoskiv: it would be nice if the firmware would receive some tag so that I know which version of it is tested and known to work and so that it's possible for me to say "I have this bug and I'm running firmware version X.Y"19:42
vkoskivYeah, ideally we'd merge only after testing, but versioned tags that have been tested work too19:43
joschOf course you do some testing before each merge but you probably do not want to do super thorough testing of all feature for each merge but only before release a stable tag. :)19:46
vkoskivIn this case I didn't test the latest changes, mnt merged 'em :D19:47

sigridif someone can test with the fast spi clock reverted that would be nice20:40
sigridthough I haven't experienced any issues here20:40
sigridbeen running it for weeks before making that PR20:41
vkoskivWhat's that spi clock change do?20:42
vkoskivI'm very novice on the details of the embedded world20:42
sigridmostly nothing. it allows the master to run at >400kHz spi20:42
sigridI also tested that change with master running at both 400kHz and 5MHz20:43
vkoskivWon't a lower clockspeed draw less current?20:44
sigridI don't think it matters at all unless there is actually some kind of communication happening20:44
sigridspi is inactive >99.9% of the time anyway20:45
sigridbut maybe it interfers with how the linux kernel driver is written20:45
sigridunless I misunderstood what the issue is for others20:46
sigridthis weekend I will have time to figure how to make linux kernel power off via lpc properly20:50
