chartreuseSorry had some issues with my IRC setup that was running on my server and didn't see any replies 00:52
chartreuseSomeone mentioned offering cells, but I'm not in EU but Canada. Seems really hard to find the JGNE cells even in Europe now, let alone Canada00:53

flowyi've also got some spare JGNE cells.01:54
flowywell, a whole set01:54
flowychartreuse: i wouldn't mind shipping some to you, if you pay the shipping01:55
flowyi don't need any of em01:56
chartreuseI think I could do that yeah. I'm not sure I'll be able to revive these too01:59

chartreuseYeah somehow the inner two ones (ones closes to the track pad) managed to die on me when it was left for about a month and a half off. Not sure entirely why as the newer firmwares have been quite good at not draining anywhere near that much02:05
chartreuseSo something odd happened02:05
chartreuseAlmost like somehow it glitched out and turned the balance resistors on for those cells for an extended period or something02:06
flowyyeah i use my reform a lot these months... but before i had definitely left it off for weeks and it only went down by a couple percentage points02:10
flowythat does sound odd02:10
flowyi could give you the whole set so you have spares02:11

flowyanyone successfully used dfu-programmer to dump their keyboard fw? it's not super important, just curious... i get 'failed to read X bytes'. adding --debug does not provide much useful info17:23
flowy(i'm slowly debugging keyboard issues and it would be nice to have a backup of this fw, as i lost the original source tree that i used. hopefully the fw version is enough to reproduce it well enough)17:24

minuteflowy: the fw is in version control (git)17:53

flowyNanoCodeBug: minute: thanks for your tips, i successfully desoldered the 3.3v ldo from my new keyboard pcb and it's back in the reform & functional. yay! heh19:03
flowyended up breaking the last leg because i didn't feel confident i could get it off without damaging one of the components close to it. i'm really bad at this. but will probably order that part so that i can give a functional standalone board away to someone19:04
minutethe part or compatible part is cheap19:05
flowy(for my old keyboard pcb)19:05
minuteit's just a 5v to 3v3 LDO19:05
minuteglad it's working!19:05
flowyyeah it'll be interesting to see if it still hangs overnight. if not, i will try the firmware that was used for the old keyboard.19:06
flowyand yeah love these clicky switches. thanks for offering the white switch option.19:07
flowyminute: if you do another revision of the keyboards... a nice consideration for swappability could be a little switch to disable/enable the differences between internal and standalone configuration19:13
minuteflowy: good idea yep19:14
minutei will make another version very soon19:14

jfredaw, I bought the black reform sleeve just before the white one went up for sale 😅20:08
jfredthe white one looks real nice20:08
BoostisbetterOh a white one came out?20:21
BoostisbetterI don't know. I really like the black on the Reform and the sleeve. Real Thinkpad like, and that is a real compiment20:21
kfxjfred: I bought the silver one seemingly moments before the gold one arrived.  it's the way of things20:24

Boostisbetteroptions are great, but man do I love the black20:42
minutecinap_lenrek: nice!!20:54
jfredBoostisbetter: Agreed, the black one also looks very nice, and it’ll honestly probably look good for longer since white stuff tends to get stained. But it sure does look slick haha20:54
cinap_lenrekminute: i was so scared of this20:57
cinap_lenrekall the glue how this ip core is wired up is completely missing from the documentation20:57
cinap_lenrekand the ip core itslef also misses registers20:57
cinap_lenrekso good luck debugging if all the reset logic shit doesnt work for some reason20:58
cinap_lenrekyou have to fiddle with like 5 different gpr's and resets20:58
cinap_lenrekand gpio20:58
cinap_lenrekone thing missing there and nothing will work20:58
cinap_lenrekbut i got lucky20:58
cinap_lenrekthe best is Figure 11-57. on page 311121:00
cinap_lenrekits some badly scaled bitmap of the address map of the pcie controller but you can't read the numbers21:01
cinap_lenrekthe mystery offset for the iATU's might be there, but its not readable21:02
cinap_lenrekits like a bad joke21:02
