Boostisbetternice!11:25
Boostisbetterthat is something I hadn't even thought about. Is it as simple as just installing it on your phone and Reform? 11:26
joschI just found out that supermin and by extension guestfish doesn't work with the kernel we build for the reform. It works fine with the stock Debian arm64 kernel so it's likely something with the kernel config. I should work on minimizing the difference.11:58

minutejosch: interesting14:15
joschi don't know why guestfish dosen't work -- all I see is the appliance booting and then qemu eats 100% cpu and nothing else happens14:16
joschand i also wasn't able to find something in the guestfish docs that tell me which kernel config they need14:16
minuteare you sure it's kernel related?14:49
joschwhen I used the Debian kernel instead of the reform kernel it was working without problems14:53

Boostisbetterminute: whelp, just put the lifepo4 batteries with the 2000maH in the Reform. Wondering what the additional 1600maH is going to offer. The only real negative I have at this point is that the batteries are brown instead of blue. 18:05
BoostisbetterBlue just looks super nice from the Reform .18:08

sknebelhm, never tried spraypainting batteries18:09
sigridI'll get better batteries and spray-paint them pink18:09
sknebel(but remember from photography gear that finding pens that stick to battery cover material was hard, but overall cover is different than name labels)18:10
joschthere are eight batteries: this obviously calls for coloring them in all eight colors of the rainbow! :D18:14
minuteBoostisbetter: you also ordered them?18:15
minutejosch: true18:15
kfxyou can buy skins for your batteries from any vape shop apparently18:15
kfxI was surprised to discover this but it figures18:15
sigridhaha awesome18:15
sknebelinteresting, would've thought many battery holders are too tight for adding anything18:16
kfxthe idea is you cut the plastic wrapping off the battery and replace it with this skin18:17
kfxit doesn't add thickness18:17
kfxhttps://www.18650batterystore.com/collections/18650-battery-wraps18:17
sknebelah, ok18:19
Boostisbetterkfx: most excellent. Honestly, it doesn't bother me enough to actually want to do that. 18:22
BoostisbetterBut I love that should ever become that that I have a solution for it. 18:22
Boostisbetterminute: I sure did. I just thought getting another pair of batteries for the Reform would be a good idea. 18:23
Boostisbetterminute: any new information on the Pocket Reform to share?18:23
minuteBoostisbetter: no, except that it will definitely happen18:23
Boostisbetterminute: you have no idea how much I am looking forward to the Pocket Reform. If it has the same build quality as the Reform I'll be just super pumped. 18:24

Boostisbetterminute: is the plan to have the case machined out of aluminum as well? I really think that is crucial to durability and a premium feel. 20:03
minuteBoostisbetter: for the premium version, yes20:14
Boostisbetterminute: just go ahead and put my name next to serial number 1. Hahahaha20:15
minutehehe20:20
Boostisbetterby the way, my normal internet handle is 2disbetter. But people never really understand what that is saying. But it actually verbatim: 2d is better... then 3d, and it is meant in a game design kind of way. 20:53

sknebelI was wondering if you were an enthusiast of a C++ library or ... :D20:55
BoostisbetterI love C++ if that matters. Was my 2nd language and I tend to enjoy using it the most. 21:36
