ruffso I'm on mainline archlinuxarm aarch64 now, no userland patched. Everything seems ok so far12:08
joschruff: with xorg or wayland or neither?12:09
joschruff: the culprit for display was a wrong rebase of the patches onto 5.15.512:10
ruffsway so wayland12:14
ruffjosch: wrong like you ignored fuzz and aplied it into wrong sections?12:16
ruffjosch: or misinterpreted functionality and wrongly ported12:17
joschruff: no, when a patch couldn't be applied because the surroundings changed too much I adapted the patch wrongly to apply12:17
joschthe latter12:17

mntmnjosch: oh, do you have working display now?12:59
joschmntmn: Yes, I rebased the patches to 5.15.5 and the display works fine. I'm now testing the rest of the hardware. I've never had wayland running on it for example. XD13:02
mntmnah cool! that's a relief13:02
- mtm (QUIT: Ping timeout: 250 seconds) (~mtm@c-73-27-62-116.hsd1.fl.comcast.net)13:03
joschYes, absolutely! I'm working on building 5.15.5 via reform-debian-packages but the scheduled pipeline run just failed because of a new ffmpeg upload and I'm gonna fix that first.13:06
BoostisbetterSo the script that ruff made works excellent. The suggestion to have the terminal show when suspending and resuming works excellent as well in conjunction with it. 13:20
BoostisbetterSome observations that I have, is that WHEN the script failed to resume, it was always with DosBox running. 13:20
BoostisbetterI have not had a failed resume when it isn't running. 13:20

Boostisbettercould anyone here provide me with a signal desktop deb file?21:41
BoostisbetterI don't want to have to setup another chroot for it, and I would like to just see if I could get it working with box6421:41
Boostisbetterreally wish Signal would come out with a web client since they are flush with cash now. I know that it increases your attack vector but I mean come on. 21:42

technomancyugh yeah I gave up on signal23:15
BoostisbetterI don't personally understand their snob like response to arm Linux. 23:34
technomancypart of me is just glad to have a reason to not have to touch electron any more23:38
joschimho electron is for the desktop what flash was for the browser -- too large, too slow, non existent accessibility, no integration with the rest of the desktop etc...23:42
technomancyplus I felt a lot better about ditching signal when I saw they were going in on a coinscam23:44
