kfxjosch: vkoskiv: I have a few spare aluminum side panels in hand.  Slighty stiffer than the first version (0.032" 6061 aluminum instead of 0.02" 1100 al) but they sit flush in the Reform.00:45
kfxI also found out oshcut.com can make these from the .svg in the reform source repository, if anyone wants to order for themselves00:46

joschmntmn: would you mind if I set up a weekly run of the reform-debian-packages pipeline? That way the script would regularly rebase the patches on top of the current version in unstable and I'd get notified once something breaks.09:43
joschto test the packages one can now put this in /etc/apt/sources.list:09:44
joschdeb [trusted=yes] https://source.mnt.re/reform/reform-debian-packages/-/jobs/513/artifacts/raw/repo reform main09:44
joschMaybe using ci variables it would be possible to provide a private key for repository signing.09:44

dj-deathmanaged to recover my UI on the reform using a master build of mesa and overriding LD_LIBRARY_PATH13:39
dj-deathnot sure what's up with the system mesa :(13:39
ruffdj-death: do you mean I better not to upgrade mesa today?13:49
dj-deathwell I'm not sure what happened with it13:50
dj-deathI updated one day and Xwayland stopped working 13:50
dj-deathmissing a libgbm symbol13:50
dj-deathprobably got a new version through debian13:50
dj-deathand that didn't work with the older version of mesa that was patched for the reform13:51
dj-deathbut using all debian stuff didn't work either so...13:51
dj-deathI was going off for a debug session by putting printfs all over libgbm and actually it just worked with mesa main13:51
ruffah, well, I'm using debian mesa from the very first launch (since I did upgrade on first launch and reform supplied one stopped working)13:52
dj-deathokay, then maybe it's problem on my side :)13:53

ruffbtw did anyone try switching bootconfig without lifting the heatsink? like with some thin blade or wire. I had negative experience with thermal interfaces so feeling a bit nervous disassembling it17:48
joschI now have 5.15 booting (with the display working!!) but I get a lot of "alg: self-tests for cbc-aes-caam" traces before the kernel finally successfully loads (basically 80% of dmesg output): http://paste.debian.net/1227226/18:11

kfxvkoskiv: I use fde.  I can't say how it affects performance because I never didn't.  20:51
kfxBoostisbetter: no, they aren't black.  they're raw aluminum, with milling marks and scratches from shipping and all.  They could be easily finished by scrubbing with scotchbrite, then whatever primer/lacquer you prefer20:54
ruffI'm currently migrating from sdcard to fde+nvme - can only confirm fde on nvme is much faster than non-fde sdcard :)21:09
