chartreuseArgh, left the MNT on and plugged in but the plug managed to work it's way out of the socket, must have bumped it. At least with the low power shut down it never gets to the point of not charging, though one cell did get very low08:18
chartreuseNeed to just get back to using it more, or at least paying attention to IRC that I leave running on it without a bouncer08:19

jfredmmm... I just had the same sort of thing happen, I've updated the keyboard and LPC firmware but after having the machine powered off and unplugged for maybe two weeks I've got two cells that don't want to charge (and the battery menu on the LCD reports 0.0V16:45
jfredthe other 6 charged back up though16:45
jfredACTION looks up which position on the battery menu corresponds to which cells16:46
+ vagrantc (~vagrant@2600:3c01:e000:21:21:21:0:100e)16:50
jfredguess I really need to get in the habit of pulling the cells out if I'm not going to be using it for a bit16:50
vagrantcjfred: with the upgraded firmware, i haven't seen a noticeable drain on the batteries, at least in the span of a week or so16:52
vagrantcand powered off ... don't know about suspend (if that works at all)16:53
mntmnjfred: do you remember how you shut it down?16:53
jfredyeah, I've upgraded the firmware, but after about two weeks they were pretty far gone again =/16:53
jfredhmm16:53
jfredI think it was via `systemctl poweroff`16:54
mntmnok16:54
mntmni mean it's possible that there is/was a bug that was preventing either the keyboard or lpc from sleeping16:54
jfredI think I also checked on the charge status once or twice over that timeframe (which I assume powers on the keyboard/lpc)16:55
jfredactually, I seem to recall that I didn't have to hold the circle key the second time I did that, so maybe they didn't go back to sleep16:55
mntmnyep, that's what i suspect16:58
- S0rin (QUIT: Ping timeout: 252 seconds) (~S0rin@user/s0rin)16:59
mntmni think if you wake up the keyboard it might not sleep again unless you select power off from the menu or circle-0 again16:59
jfredaha16:59
mntmnthat's very probably the bug16:59
jfredthat would explain it, I probably only did circle-esc after waking up the keyboard rather than circle-017:00
mntmnyep17:00
mntmnsorry for that17:00
jfredno worries :)17:00

vagrantci also noticed the battery display doesn't "refresh" so to speak ... i don't know if there's any timer sort of feature or some way to emulate one so the battery display could periodically refresh itself?17:03
mntmnvagrantc: this is something that can be done in the future17:03
vagrantcgreat! :)17:03
vagrantcor even just a timeout where it turns the display off again or something17:04

BoosterfiveWould anyone be able to give me the dimension of the Reform Trackball module? Specifically I need to know the size of the pcb, and the height of the whole module. 18:28
BoosterfiveI have a 70mm lengthwise and 110mm widthwise. I'm hoping it fits in that. 18:32
Boosterfivecourse I should check the MNT community forum and see if this has been discussed there before. 18:33

mntmnBoosterfive: also if you have fusion, check out https://source.mnt.re/reform/reform/-/tree/master/reform2-case-sources19:00
BoosterfiveI grabbed the fusion files and just looked at the trackpad support19:01
Boosterfivelooks like it is 76.8mm across. 19:01
BoosterfiveSo too wide for me, but I might be able to reposition the display to make room for it. 19:01
