chartreuseI've noticed that at somepoint the temperature sensor seems to have bugged out. It's been showing 35C straight for the last few days even if it feels warmer and is being charged04:02
chartreuseEven /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/temp1_input shows 35000 so it's potentially a driver or hardware bug04:02
chartreuseThink it only happened somewhere after 2 days of uptime04:03
chartreuseGoing to shut down anyways to take the keyboard cover off, so I'll see if it works after that04:05

chartreuseWell good news, first test of entering low power mode and leaving it seems to work04:50
dopplersweet04:50
chartreuseNeed to add a quick test to confirm that it's actually sleeping and being awoke by the watchdog (seem to as the delay between it responding to circle is somewhat variable)04:51
chartreuseThen also make sure to turn off the display and anything else still possibly running04:52
chartreuseYep it's acting as expected, goes into power-down and then comes back at the watchdog interval (though the interval is longer than expected as the watchdog oscillator changes with voltage)04:57
chartreuseNoticed a weird quirk, writing to the screen (gfx_clear, gfx_poke, gfx_on, gfx_flush) causes the keyboard backlight to blink, and certain characters gave weird patterns.04:58
chartreuseAnd the one weird pattern '6' IIRC seems to be brighter than the brightest normal backlight setting.04:58
chartreuseOdd but shouldn't be an issue as I won't be touching anything in that power-down loop04:59
chartreuseI don't have a good way to measure the actual power draw of the keyboard now, but it should be orders of magnitude less05:01
chartreuseIf everything is right in the 4uA range, though there's also the PWM chip and OLED possibly drawing power even when "off"05:02
chartreusemntmn: I sent in a registration for the gitlab so I might put this up there while working on it and to submit a pull request later05:43
chartreuseI don't currently have a way of automatically enabling this and I'm not sure when the system is off05:44
chartreuseSo it's just a menu item for testing at the moment05:44
chartreuseDecided to play around with another feature in a branch, having the battery display automatically update if left open. Probably running it a bit fast atm but neat to see the current change every second 05:57
chartreuseProbably cut that time down a little more and send that as a seperate pull request05:57

chartreuseDo you perhaps have a lab bench supply? 21:51
chartreuseWhatever charger you do get make sure it's for LiFePO4 and not just lithium ions21:52
chartreuseTrying to lower the standby drain of the two microcontrollers when the system is off with mntmn, so that it takes much longer for it to discharge them below what it will charge21:53
chartreuseWhat you need to do with your cells is just slowly charge them up to a high enough point that the laptop will charge them safely21:54

chartreuseNo worries, at least until the draw is fixed (or perhaps a power board revision with low-voltage cutout is made) try and remember to charge up the reform at least every week22:12
chartreuseIt's an oversight that annoys me a bit as well, but hopefully can be addressed. Mitigations through firmware and possibly a future replacement to help mitigate it almost entirely22:13
