scopsmntmn: maybe it would be the easiest to just clone the source again for mesa? (https://community.mnt.re/t/upgrading-to-latest-mesa-without-patches/286/4)20:28
C-Keenmntmn: wrt to spi, are all the hostspi nodes in DT disabled on purpose? 20:29
mntmnscops: yes, probably. but you need the right options for meson (they are specified in mkuserland2.sh i think)20:32
mntmnC-Keen: yes, because it didn't finish, i didn't want to ship unintended side effects20:32
scopsmntmn: hmmm, what about packaging debs in your repository? ^^20:34
C-Keenmntmn: no worries, I will have a look. I also have a couple of i.MX8 boards here, as a reference to what it should look like. from the schematics side it looks ok to me. I haven't done any measurements yet20:34
mntmnC-Keen: i remember that i tried to send out some data from the imx and nothing showed up on the oscilloscope, but probably i was using it wrong20:43
mntmnscops: packaging which debs?20:43
mntmnscops: the problem with mesa packaging on debian is that they split it into a gazillion packages, which i find hard to handle. i will just wait until debian releases a newer mesa version that includes all required patches and then we switch over to it, and then we also don't need to ship xserver and sway etc anymore. all of this will just solve itself.20:45
scopsah ok... check :) compiling atm20:46
mntmnthe patch that i ship for xwayland is just to work around something in etnaviv/mesa that should be fixed by now20:49
mntmnbut need to double check20:49
C-Keenmntmn: probably not, this stuff is more complicated to configure then it should be20:49
mntmnC-Keen: the spi?20:51
mntmnC-Keen: there is some unused test code in my lpc firmware for the other side of SPI as well... but before enabling that i would definitely remove the battery cells from the device, because it can disrupt the charging/balancing20:51
mntmn(until spi is properly tested/integrated)20:52
mntmnC-Keen: see https://source.mnt.re/reform/reform/-/blob/master/reform2-lpc-fw/src/boards/reform2/board_reform2.c#L94520:53
mntmnC-Keen: and https://source.mnt.re/reform/reform/-/blob/master/reform2-lpc-fw/src/boards/reform2/board_reform2.c#L78720:54
C-KeenAh, ok. good to know20:55
