flowymntmn: right now i've got a battery blinking, the top right one, which is showing a value of: .122:29
flowythe other cells are 2.9-3.1, and overall status says 88%. is there anything i should do?22:30
flowyi wonder if just letting it all run out could help22:30
mntmnflowy: this is a common cause of confusion22:30
mntmnflowy: so the battery icon that is blinking is not the same as the battery icon in the battery status view, it's just obscuring it22:31
mntmnflowy: if you enter the battery status screen you should see the real value for a moment which should be something like 3.122:31
mntmnflowy: see also Q3 https://community.mnt.re/t/mnt-reform-faq-common-first-questions-and-little-problems/11422:31
flowyoh, hm, but why is it blinking? the status says 87%... so, not low?22:32
mntmnflowy: do you have one of the first 25 reforms?22:32
mntmnflowy: since when is it blinking?22:32
flowynope, mine is one of the last22:32
blueriseI really appreciate having that LPC/battery status, especially with input/output current and voltage for each battery22:32
flowyi just noticed it now after not using the reform for a couple days22:32
mntmnflowy: interesting btw, did you leave it alone or was it charging over those days?22:33
mntmnor, connected to power i mean22:33
flowyleft it alone22:33
flowyand yes now i see the real value for a split second, i understand22:33
mntmninteresting that the batteries did not fully discharge22:33
mntmnflowy: what are the numbers on circle+s ?22:33
mntmnflowy: there's like 3 numbers separated by ,22:33
flowynormal,524384,430,1622:34
flowyyeah it was just on my shelf for a few days not charging, i believe it was 100% when i left it22:35
flowyoff22:35
mntmnok cool so it's discharging slower than i feared, good22:35
mntmnflowy: 524384 is like roughly the number of seconds it spent in this state, so around 145 hours?22:36
mntmnanyway, i would put it on the charger22:37
mntmnand check what happens22:37
mntmni'm just repairing my reform atm, it has a cracked discharge resistor... fortunately easy to remove with hot air22:37
flowyok yeah i would have experimented a bit first before chatting but the confusing .1 value scared me into thinking a cell was dead :)22:39
flowyyeah it could be a while since it has been plugged in22:39

flowymntmn: just re-read the battery section of the manual. didn't know about the risk of the cells discharging if left unused for more than a few days. i guess this doesn't apply if you leave it plugged in? is this not mentioned because it's potentially unsafe to leave it plugged in on a shelf for something like a week?23:18
flowyhow did your resistor crack btw, just from heat?23:21
blueriseah, oh, good point23:21
mntmnflowy: plugged in is fine23:41
