patsamntmn, sorry for the late reply, I have sent some messages that I can't find them on the logs so I guess my phone has been disconnected before I sent em. Anyway I am still having trouble making the intel wifi card to work.17:16
patsaI got the kernel config of my thinkpad that has the same wifi card that is working and trying to diff the two files to find out what is going on.17:17
patsaThing is that it shows on lspci, dmesg states that firmware is loaded etc but no wlan device comes up in ip link17:17
+ terpri (~terpri@2603-6081-2241-0752-71c3-6c06-a290-62ae.res6.spectrum.com)18:20
patsa xkb_model = “1003:8258:MNT_Reform_Keyboard” is this needed on sway config or is it being stated somewhere else?18:26
mntmnpatsa: what's your goal?18:58
patsaadded a second keyboard layout for Greek and the xkb option to toggle between them19:18
patsaxkb_layout "us,gr"19:20
patsa    xkb_options "grp:alt_shift_toggle"19:20
patsa    xkb_model “1003:8258:MNT_Reform_Keyboard”19:20
patsaI've added that in input * and wanted to know if the model line is needed.19:20
patsait seems to work with it, haven't tried without19:21

patsathis is the output from lspci -k could that libkmod error be responsible for the wifi card not showing as a wireless device?19:23
mntmnpatsa: no, lspcie is missing about some libkmod stuff here19:34

mntmnpatsa: are you sure there are no errors in dmesg when loading iwlwifi?19:35

mntmnpatsa: no clue then, maybe the driver fails silently after loading the firmware. you could check if there is more verbose debugging available as an option to the module or stick a bunch of printk in the module20:05
