mntmndevyl: correction, there is a loop for the battery status in the keyboard controller.14:12
mntmnbut only for checking for undervoltage14:12
mntmnit checks every minute or so14:12
mntmnotherwise, you would not be automatically warned before the battery runs empty14:12
mntmnclarification, not undervoltage but lower than 10% capacity14:13
devylcheck. thats also work nicely. but for me the percent-display ramains showing 100% all the time :(14:27
mntmnwait, your percentage stays at 100%?14:27
mntmneven when discharging?14:27
devylyes14:27
mntmnah you mean it does not auto-refresh14:28
mntmnbut when you press circle+b again it does refresh, right?14:28
devylyes, but stays at 100%... all other values are updated14:28
mntmnoh, that's a strange bug. what is you A number in that screen?14:29
mntmnalways 0.00 ?14:29
devylno. different values on each update14:29
mntmnpositive numbers?14:30
devylyes14:30
mntmnfor me it is around 0.28A-0.29A right now14:30
devylyeah, here too14:30
mntmnok probably there is a bug with recording the maximum and minimum levels then so the % calculation is off in your case14:31
mntmnyou can try resetting LPC by pressing the LPC reset button on the motherboard14:32
devylx.x ok... i will try that later :) i havent a screwdriver atm around14:33
devylit would be nice if a reset could be added to the firmware itself to make it with a key combo14:33
mntmnyes, good idea. also some more debugging of the values14:34
devylindeed14:34
mntmnalternatively, you can try to just let the batteries run low.14:34
mntmnthis could also fix the % value14:34
mntmnuse until it turns off. just don't work on important stuff when the voltages get low ;)14:34
devylhm... since the low battery warning works... i will try the lpc reset first ... :)14:35
devylbtw: whisper is a nice font for the waybar!14:36
mntmna handwriting font?14:36
devylno, a "retro font". inspirated from classic computers like old macs... mom i look for a link14:37
devylhttps://itemlabel.com/collections/whisper/products/whisper-font14:38
devyli also added a short padding right to the time and try icons to 24 px (more padding top/bottom) for a cleaner look imho14:39
mntmnoh the font by froyo14:39
mntmncool14:39
devylyeah :) i installed the otf variant14:40

mntmnAsmadeus: yes, everything on source.mntmn.com is obsolete14:55
mntmnAsmadeus: https://source.mnt.re/reform/reform-system-image14:55
Asmadeusah, didn't follow the move. thanks14:56
mntmnyeah i need to put up a notice on the old server14:56
Koodadevyl: WhisperTen is pretty cool!14:56
devylindeed :) but to small for the screen (10px fixed size) imho... so i use Whisper14:56

devylThe reform is getting easily hot on the left and bottom when charging... In sway to shows arround 63°C which would not be a problem if the case wouldnt be also uncomfortably warm. To use on the lap isnt nice in this case imho. On the usage side; firefox, nheko, telegram, evolution,... Arround 30%-40% cpu usage on all cores for 3 hours while charging.22:43
+ S0rin (~S0rin@ns3074960.ip-217-182-174.eu)22:54
mntmndevyl: agreed, it can get a bit hot when charing23:01
mntmncharging23:01
mtmis it the chaging circuitry that heats up?23:02
mntmnif you use it and charge it at the same time, it just creates excess heat in the switchers, and the device is passive cooled.23:03
mtmgot it23:06
devylYeah, its not a real problem... Just what i have noticed. :) i still think its a really great device. And it will be getting better over time imho :)23:06
mtmmight be interesting to have an optional charging mode that cycles the charging on/off during CPU idle (not sure that's feasable with the charge controller isolated from the OS)23:11
Asmadeusthe OS should be able to control charge to some extent (like max charging amperage) depending on what's used exactly23:31
