lastebilmntmn: I could NOT be more excited about some of the others getting theirs (from mastodon)13:24
lastebilit's like ... "these are people who will do awesome things with this hardware"  (and hopefully one day later this year I'll have the energy again to work my brain and ... )13:24
lastebilanyway it's inspiring (and work isn't so this helps (:  )13:24
lastebil- also I read mntmn as MountainMan, the MinuteMen were an awesome band tho (:13:25
mntmnlastebil: i agree with all of these statements!13:45
mjwBTW. I was too optimistic, it hasn't arrived yet. It is still moving inside Germany, currently in Herne-Boernig, but hopefully on Monday it will arrive in the Netherlands.14:07

Esipart of me really wants one. But my financial situations, and the fact that my x230 is still perfectly usable, is stopping me from ordering one :P14:40
Esiso instead I just watch the chat here and social media and drool over images of the reform14:40
+ mjw (~mjw_@herd.wildebeest.org)14:40
Esialso, part of me always tries to buy computer hardware second hand because of climate change, etc. But because of the awesome upgradability/repairability/etc I doubt I will find a reform second hand until after maybe 30 years ;)14:41
+ jvalleroy (~quassel@li1266-111.members.linode.com)14:43
mntmnEsi: sure thing, very fair points14:57
Esion that subject, if anyone gets a reform and has second thoughts, then I am more than interested to adopt that reform and take good care of it ;)14:58
- odnes (QUIT: Remote host closed the connection) (~odnes@109-178-158-163.pat.ren.cosmote.net)15:31
lastebilEsi: yeah stick around, maybe that will happen (somehow)15:34
Esior maybe mntmn accidentally sent someone two reforms.... :P15:34
Esione can hope15:35
KoodaSame here about buying second hand and keeping as long as possible, I kept using my X40 for 10 years until OpenGL 1.2 was really not enough for modern software.17:36
KoodaI bought (second hand) a X250 to replace it, it was the worst buy ever, it feels cheap, I’m afraid to bump it into things, and there’s a hardware fault that crashes it when it moves or something tugs the power cable when on. :|17:37
KoodaThe great thing it has is a 4G modem. I’ll also try to put a USB one inside my Reform :)17:38
rvenseACTION is still on an x20017:44
