bnysquick question for maestro @lukas...was looking at the interactive systems site and didn't see a reed switch for sleep/wake. was that dropped for reform v2?19:32
bnysalso is it possible to use circle+ keyboard commands for display brightness, volume, etc?19:33
mntmnbnys: do you mean a magnetic sensor? that was dropped, yes19:42
bnysyes that is what I meant :)19:42
mntmnbnys: and yes, it's possible to forward circle key stuff to the OS, that's just not fully polished yet19:42
mntmnyou'll have to press a key combo to sleep the laptop, i was thinking a lot about this and ended up not liking the idea that it's always bound to the lid closing/opening19:43
bnysfantastic19:43
bnysmakes sense and I think it's probably more reliable19:48
dopplerseems reasonable, but out of curiosity why did you opt to not make that firmware-configurable?20:19
dopplerit's probably good practice to sleep manually anyway; that way you can be sure the thing actually does go to sleep before you throw it in your bag20:20
dopplereven w/ my x86 laptops even though I rely on lid-close I still wait to see the power light pattern change to be sure it actually worked :P20:21
dopplerso I may as well use that time to instead press a key combo20:21
dopplerthat way the laptop's still open if there's something I gotta Deal With20:22
