AiO | heya, brilliant people. i'm having a blast with my zz9000 for the most part. however. i'm wondering if the ethernet PHY is not resetted correctly when the Amiga resets. if i do a "reboot" command or Ctrl+A+A the network card seems to initialize weirdly... if i ping something i get (DUP!) in replies... anyone else seeing this? is there a simple fix for my stupid mind? :) | 09:36 |
---|---|---|
AiO | b.t.w. i was looking a bit into the zz9000-sdk has anyone tried/had the ambition to make a mpeg-video-decoder for that thing so far? i noticed there was a jpeg-decoder | 17:10 |

minute | AiO: oh are the dups _only_ after reset? | 20:07 |
AiO | minute: correct. from cold boot it always works perfect | 20:12 |
minute | AiO: oh wow ok | 20:14 |
AiO | :D | 20:14 |
AiO | minute: not sure.... but i think there is some routing-quirk in general... but i can't put mh finger on it, nor i'm unsure how to explain... i have a pysically separated retro-lan, with a vm as "retro router". the x-surf can access a specific ip through the router when the router is default route in Roadshow. i had to explicitly set the via for that host on ZZ9000.... but. i'm not sure why. | 20:18 |
AiO | x-surf is in my A4000 and ZZ9000 in my AA3000+... I also have a PCMCIA-card in an A1200 and a PlipBox on an A500+... all but the ZZ9000 routes as i would expect, given that i have the retro-router as default gw. | 20:19 |
AiO | (in this specific case it's a route through the retro-router to a NAS, and to another host which is NTP-server) | 20:20 |
AiO | but.. as soon as i set up Roadshow to have explicit routes (through the retro router) to those two machines. stuff works. so that's a work-around. | 20:21 |
minute | hmm | 20:24 |
AiO | but i can't figure out why... since default gw should be default gw :D - i am definetly not ruling out i screwed up somewhere. | 20:33 |
