_Bnu | Batman overwriting the screen is normal, but it definitely shouldnät lock up the computer... | 06:31 |

_Bnu | Also shouldn't. | 06:31 |

mntmn | yup. sounds like there is a zorro bus communication problem tryphoncosinus | 11:24 |
mntmn | tryphoncosinus: first of all, did you try another zorro slot already? also, we could play with the dtack length register | 11:24 |

cerv | Tryed another USB stick. Same. Still no boot. Can it be because it is in A4000T? | 14:42 |
tryphoncosinus | I tried zorro slots 4 and 5 (bridgeboard slots). Now I try slot 2 and bustest is working normally with 0 error. I inserted again the ZZ9000CX : black screen with occasionally the workbench image. With Picasso IV, I remember there is a tool to set the flickerfixer frequencies (filifi program or someting like that). | 15:26 |
tryphoncosinus | Also, I collected the frequency properties I use for the picasso flickerfixer : 50 Hz (NTSC), 60 Hz (PAL) with 31.1 kHz (default picasso setting). Both settings are working well with the I-Inc monitor. I connected it with the ZZ9000 (another A2000). NTSC : beautiful image appearing occasionally, PAL : image is always there but is jerky. Both A2000 are nativelly NTSC. Is ZZ9000 injects 50 or 60 Hz / 31 kHz by default ? It | 15:38 |
tryphoncosinus | o flickerfixer and ZZ9000 scandoubler do not produce the same signal properties. | 15:38 |
mntmn | tryphoncosinus: normally 50hz for pal and 60hz for ntsc, and you can set an env var to use 60hz for pal too | 16:57 |
mntmn | tryphoncosinus: it sounds like you solved half of the problem, if another zorro slot gets you to 0 errors with bus test. | 16:58 |
mntmn | tryphoncosinus: the other problem sounds like it is related to the sync signals on the videoslot, or interference on the cable. | 16:58 |

mntmn | KK: sorry i can't follow | 23:05 |
tryphoncosinus | I made a complete test for NTSC/PAL resolutions with the same monitor (SyncMaster 214T). | 23:08 |
tryphoncosinus | A2320 accept all without drawback and image appears as it should on the monitor. | 23:08 |
tryphoncosinus | With ZZ9000, NTSC mode, screen is black most of the time. PAL resolution under workbench : image is jerkey and sometimes black. | 23:11 |
tryphoncosinus | I changed hdmi cable : no difference. | 23:12 |
