CottonUndies@Bnu How to you make your discord links? I'd like to share some pics as well. Did you make your own server or channel?15:53
_BnuOh, they're usually just pictures I've pasted somewhere.16:02
_BnuYou can right click them and select "Copy link" to get a link to them.16:02
_BnuFor instance, I pasted Danald Dack to Claude earlier: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/789807768554831902/861138835249037322/danald_dack.png16:03
CottonUndiesThanks! So this works for you then?16:03

_BnuYep.16:03
_BnuIt looks like a 68060...16:03
CottonUndiesGreat! Thats an easy way to share pics then.16:04
CottonUndiesIts a fake by the way.16:05
CottonUndiesIn reality a LC Rev 416:05
CottonUndiesBut it works at 80mhz, so I am pleased.16:05
mntmndanald :316:13
CottonUndiesSo, for today, I was wanting to make sure I understood that in some cases the ZZ speed. Does this look about right? Module 1 & 3 are PIV, Module 2 is a CV64, Module 4 I'm not sure.16:16
CottonUndieshttps://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/686188846031044637/861248219203239976/Sysspeed.png16:16
CottonUndiesThe Cybervisio64 has some crazy numbers. For instance WrtPixel and AreaFill. wow.16:18
CottonUndiesAnd DrwElpse16:18
CottonUndiesPrintTxt as well. Impressive. 16:18
_BnuUnfortunately I have no reference for SysSpeed scores, and I can't currently start up my A4000, but the scores seem strangely low.16:23
_Bnuhttp://www.apehead.se/snakes9000/p96speed_17.png16:23
_BnuP96Speed is by no means perfect, but at least I have it screenshotted, haha.16:24
CottonUndiesThanks, running now!16:25
_BnuI would check SysSpeed, but my A4000 is still out of action due to dying hard drive.16:25
_BnuWaiting on an IDE extension cable from Claude so I can use the old 128GB Kingston SSD instead.16:25
CottonUndiesYour 4000 has long suffered.....16:27
+ xet7 (~xet7@user/xet7)16:35
CottonUndiesSome of my numbers are significantly lower, while most are generally lower.16:39

CottonUndiesJust as an example SIZE WINDOW is 57 vs 29216:41
CottonUndiesWritePixelLine8 also large difference. Wonder why. Hmmmm. Thoughts to myself.16:42
mntmnP96Speed is such an infohazard16:43
mntmnit's a bit like audiophile products16:43
CottonUndiesYou mean Snake Oil?16:43
mntmnwell not totally, it does measure ~something~16:43
mntmnbut it is a mental trap to get obsessed about those numbers16:43
mntmnwithout being able to see the actual implementation of the benchmarks etc16:43
mntmnit's like interpreting numbers from an oracle16:44
mntmnreading from the coffee grounds16:44
mntmnhaving the tarot read16:44
mntmnetc etc16:44
CottonUndiesTrue, but in a comparison between his results and mine, it would identify 'areas of significant differences' which might point to a config issue? 16:45
mntmnyes16:51
mntmnthat is correct. but comparing zz9000 numbers to cv64 or something, esp. if they are the numbers shipped with p96speed is only partially useful16:52
CottonUndiesOk. I'll just compare myself to Bnu and other ZZ owners then, and ignore packaged results.16:53
CottonUndiesooops. Its bedtime, see you all on the other side.!16:54
mntmnn8n816:54
_Bnu:O17:02
_BnuBut yeah, still looks low... is the CPU running at 40MHz bus speed instead of 50MHz or something?17:02
_BnuAlso, https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/789807768554831902/861260239440183362/unknown.png :317:03

trixster@CottonUndies: it might be worth running p96speed / sysspeed with older versions of p96 and compare those results to the new icomp releases. The reason I say that is that Warp3D seems broken/much slower with icomp releases compared to the older ones, so maybe there are general speed differences too?21:29
_BnuMy screenshot is using the version that was released before the whole 3.0 to 3.02 mess.22:06
_BnuSo it's definitely not old Picasso96.22:06

mntmnp96 3.2 on amigaos 3.0222:23
emiespo[m]ACTION is now comparing his numbers to _Bnu 's :) 22:25
emiespo[m]pretty in line, some values are lower, but most slightly above (kinda expected due to local fast-ram). 22:29
